Under theHedge
The maze is the monster.
First-person co-op horror roguelite for one to eight players. The maze remembers you, and when you die you become part of it.
What makes it tick.
One to Eight
Go in alone, or bring up to seven friends with proximity voice. The hedge is quieter with company, which is not the same as safer.
A Maze That Learns
Every run reshapes the hedge from what you did last time. Dead ends you found become the walls that find you.
You Become the Maze
Die, and something of you stays behind in the hedge. Your friends will hear it before they see it.
Liminal, Not Loud
Long corridors, sodium lamps, the hum of something far away. The fear is in the quiet, not the jump.
Lanterns & Light
Light is your only tool. Carry it, place it, trade it. The dark is patient.
Built in UE5
Lumen-lit hedges and Nanite foliage make a garden you can get lost in at a glance.
Under the Hedge is a first-person horror roguelite set in a hedge maze that is bigger on the inside than any garden should be. It is built for one to eight players, with proximity voice and a maze that reshapes itself around what you did on your last run.
The pitch is simple: the maze is the monster. There is no creature to outrun, only a place that learns you. When you die, you become part of it.
It is being built in Unreal Engine 5 for PC on Steam.
